MacBook Pro read DVD ssllooowwweerrrrrr

Any time I use HandBrake to encode them in DiVX (naturally only when these DVD are from friends without any copyright 
), the new MacBook Pro is twice SLOWER than my old one, only due to DVD reader being way way too slow on DVD-Video content!
