ElGato Turbo.264 HD encoding Full HD 1080p video at 28fps
I am encoding “We were soldier”, a Blu-Ray movie using ElGato Turbo.264 HD, an USB HD encoder accelerator and the speed is impressive: better than real-time to re-encode full HD (1080p) video.
And no, it’s not a 8-core Mac Pro, but my MacBook Pro laptop, encoding at a blazing speed!
This USB HD encoder is an incredible advancement, enabling me to encode a full HD video in less than 2 hours where my quad-core 4×3.0Ghz hackintosh took between 4 hours and 5 hours!
