iPad FX
iPad seems to follow the path of the iPhone…
First impression
Cool thing, but doesn’t seems to be breathtaking for many of us before having tried it. Many if not any analyst says it’s of no interest. Microsoft, as Nokia, Motorola and Samsung did find it much more like a toy than a challenger that may deserve respect.
Software development
Now on the software development side, with the release of iPhone OS 3.2 (we may say iThing OS 3.2), many developers are jumping on the bandwagon, delivering NEW applications, 140 000 applications wasn’t enough, there’s thousands of NEW applications in January while there will be ten of thousands iPad adapted existing applications too. The developers are in a hurry!
Future?
iPhone as been described as a toy, with mockery from industry, as is iPad now. Developers rushed on the iPhone bandwagon, even raising Mac sells to access XCode development tool and emulator. And iPad seems to follow the same curve, even before being sold.
Having Bill Gates criticizing iPad is for me a compliment for the iPad, with all he said about iMac and iPhone. Bill Gates is a great manager, but Steve Jobs is a visionary. Manager will adjust it’s results graphs when the visionary will sold more than expected of it’s new kinda computer!
